Patna Nikay Chunav Result Live: Sita Sahu-Zahbi fight for the post of Patna mayor
The people of Patna Municipal Corporation area, which has less voting than the last election and the lowest in the state, will be waiting for the election results from the time of counting of votes on Friday morning, but it is estimated that the correct trend will come out after noon. Despite weak voting at 1900 booths in 75 wards, the people of Patna are hopeful of getting a strong mayor from amongst 33 candidates. It is believed that the real fight will be seen between 5. The counting of votes will start from 8 am at Anugrah Narayan College, Boring Road. Along with the mayor and deputy mayor, councilors of 75 wards will also be elected. The results of the councilor seats are expected to come from the afternoon.
In the second and last phase of the Municipal Elections 2022 by the State Election Commission, voting was held in Patna on Wednesday 28 December with 67 municipal bodies of the state. According to the State Election Commission, due to the optical character recognition technology, the machine will automatically count and add up the votes and issue the certificate. The possibility of manual and tampering has been claimed to be zero, so the calculation will also be matched. In view of the sensitivity of the counting center, the movement of vehicles will remain largely closed in Boring Road from morning till the completion of the counting process.
Patna is also famous due to the lowest voting
According to the State Election Commission, during the second phase of elections on December 28, the lowest voter turnout of 39.17 percent took place in Patna itself. Women voters did not show enthusiasm in Patna despite the seats of mayor and deputy mayor being reserved for women and 33 candidates contesting. Along with the voters, the enthusiasm of the supporters of the candidates also decreased till the end. The condition was such that all the candidates for mayor and deputy mayor could not even appoint polling agents at every booth. Estimates before the counting of votes are telling that the difference between outgoing mayor Sita Sahu, former mayor Afzal Imam’s wife Mehjabin, ward 44 councilor Mala Sinha along with Vinita Bittu Singh and Rajni Devi till noon will lead to the result.
